Our story
Matthew Battle, a licensed New Jersey electrician, started Battle Electric to do one thing well: wire Montclair's older and high-end homes. Much of the town was built before 1940. That housing stock needs an electrician who knows it, not a generalist passing through.
A year in, the work has grown mostly by word of mouth, from homeowners who wanted their historic house handled with care. The focus stays the same: replace aging knob-and-tube and undersized service safely, work cleanly around original finishes, and leave a documented job that holds up for inspections and insurance.
